I don’t know how you are feeling but to me the past month has zipped by, its been a mixed month of new promises to myself to improve my diet, move my body (walking and yoga are my thing) and to tap into my creativity.  The fact is, its been slow on all three promises but I am not going to beat myself up, I have the confidence that I will achieve what I need to achieve and that confidence is key!

Dark January is generally a difficult month, most of us start with great intentions setting ourselves challenging actions to carry out in a month that is wet, windy and dark! We all need to remember, as I mentioned last month, that to love ourselves is of utmost importance. I am personally working each day to implement just a small change and to include a little time for the promises I made to myself.

I am a very lucky lady, I have several lovely things to look forward to, not only with my family and friends but in my development.  A 3 day advanced healing retreat during March with the lovely Rosemary Griffiths is an exciting prospect, my involvement in a weekly development circle with the marvellous Keith and Annie Westmancott where I am gently pushed beyond my comfort zone and then creatively I plan to continue developing this website with the creation of more videos to share with you all.

The website has a great team of people all working in different ways but for the same outcome! We also have many friends that are beginning to make themselves known, please check out the page of Friends of Spiritually Connecting, they all have great things to offer.  With this in mind it is with pleasure that I mention Rachel Fleming @ Yoga for the Soul.

Rachel teaches yoga within a class environment or private one to one sessions, she
holds a Women’s Yoga and Scared Singing Circle on a monthly basis and this year will be in Greece holding a Women’s Yoga and Wellbeing Retreat.  Rachel has a beautiful voice and I just love it when she holds the space at the end of a yoga session for a short Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep), this is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, it is a state in which the body is completely relaxed. I always reach deep relaxation and feel wonderful upon waking fully.  I have had the pleasure of listening to Rachel’s recordings but not many have so Greek retreat with Rachel Flemingwhen I heard that she recorded a yoga nidra while on a retreat in Greece I knew instantly that the world should hear her! So with this in mind together we built the You Tube video below.  If you would like to try this wonderful way of achieving deep relaxation I suggest that you set aside 20 minutes or so today to try it, I am sure you will not be disappointed. You can find out more about Rachel at www.yogaforthesoul.co.uk

I wish you all a fabulous February
